Welp, those ten years went by in a blink.
If you scroll all the way back to the beginning of the Lair, you’ll find a blog born in a very different world. It was 2016 -- a world before the 2016 election. A world before COVID. Everything felt a bit simpler back then, and the "Hobby Pile of Shame" was just a sizable hill, and not the mountain it is today.
It had been more than a year after returning from our first (and only) trip to GenCon, and I was still buzzed off the energy of the convention and the sheer scale of the hobby. I wanted a place to dump all that excitement, and this little corner of the internet was it.
The world has changed, but the Lair has stayed consistent. It’s always been about the plastic, the paint, and gaming with great friends. Ten years later, the mission is the same as day one and I'm still just as excited to share some unique content around this great hobby.
There are still plenty of miniatures in the queue and plenty of dice left to roll, so stay tuned; more to come.
